Here are the answers to some of the most Frequently Asked Questions our firm receives.

Q. What does an average tax return cost?
A. RATE FORMULA:  BASE RATE(individual=$200)(Corp & Parntership=$450) + TIME SPENT + ANY ADDITIONAL CHARGES = TOTAL.  Average individual return is approximately $388 ($275-$475). Every situation is different and the return cost will vary according to your specific circumstances.  Please feel free to ask for a copy of our Fee Schedule. 

Q. When do I pay for the tax return?
A. Payment is due at the time the return is completed and ready for pick up or with the return of the signed e-filing form prior to our office e-filing the return with the IRS.

Q. What is the turnaround time for tax returns?
A. Turnaround is about 5 to 7 days once all necessary information has been delivered to our office. This may vary after April 1st.

Q. Can I e-file my individual income tax return?
A. Yes. For the filing of the 2011 individual income tax returns we will be using the e-file system for everyone who qualifies. This will reduce the wait time for refunds. There are some situations that make e-filing difficult or not possible. We will inform you if such a situation applies to you.

Q. What are Brad's hourly rates?
A. Hourly rate for Brad Begley, J.D., C.P.A. is $255/hour unless otherwise agreed to or stipulated.  The Staff is billed at $80.00 per hour.

Q. What payment methods can I use?
A. We accept cash, personal checks and money orders. Sorry, no credit or debit cards at this time.

Q. What should I bring to a meeting?
A. You should bring a copy of your 2010 tax return if not prepared by this office, income statements (W-2/1099), interest & dividend income, schedule K-1: imcome/loss from partnerships, s-corps, etc., mortgage interest (1098), statements from stock, bond and other investment transactions, child care info, any IRS notices, education expenses for dependents K-12, 2011 CRP for renters and 2011/2012 Property Tax Statement for homeowners, any itememized deductions and any other information you think would be necessary to prepare your taxes.
