Brad Begley, J.D., CPA

Mr. Begley is an Attorney and a Certified Public Accountant. He has worked with many individuals and startup and medium size businesses over the past 27 years helping them with issues ranging from tax planning and compliance to preparing Corporate Buy Sell and Control documents. Some of the companies he has served on boards for or worked in house as a CFO for are Achievement Data, Inc. (was part owner and assisted in sale to publicly traded company), The Micro Group (bought by McGladrey CPA firm), Christner Gravel & Asphalt Company, Magnetic Poetry, Inc., Music Tech, Inc. (an Inc. Magazine Fastest Growing 500 Privately Held Business in America), and Fort Mille Lacs Development Company.

Mr. Begley graduated in 1979 from Indiana University with a BA in Economics where he was a Merit Scholar. In 1983 he graduated from Indiana University Law School. He began his legal career in 1984 in the tax department of Ernst & Young. He became licensed as a Certified Public Account in 1986 and later that year opened Begley Law Office, which merged into Danielson, Begley & Lijo in 1991. In 1995 he returned to Begley Law Office.

Mr. Begley is a frequent lecturer and teacher on tax and small business development topics including having been an adjunct Professor at Hamline Law School and McNally Smith College of Music and a presenter for the MN Bar Associations Continuing Legal Education Series and frequent lecturer at the U. of Minnesota and other area schools.

Mr. Begley is also involved in many community interests and has served on the following non-profit boards the Minnesota Dance Alliance (Board Chair), the Tibetan American Foundation of MN (Treasurer of Committee for Dali Lama's Visit), 15 Head Theatre Company (Treasurer), and Ballet Harren (Board Chair).

In the past, Mr. Begley has worked extensively in the Native American community, which included consulting for the Medwankaton Shakopee Sioux, The Little Red School House, Heart of the Earth Survival School and the Anishinabe Job Council.

He has also been involved with various MN State Bar Association Sections and was past Treasurer for the Arts and Entertainment Section of the MN Bar Association.
